Sliding Head Machining Works
Sliding head machining (also known as Swiss-type turning) is a high-precision manufacturing process where the raw material bar slides through a guide bushing while the cutting tools remain stationary. This configuration minimizes vibration and deflection, allowing factories to produce long, slender components with incredibly tight micron-level tolerances in a single continuous cycle.

- Lights-Out Production: Because these machines are highly automated and rely on bar feeders, they can run unattended overnight, drastically reducing the cost-per-part.
- No Deflection: Because the material is supported right at the point of the cut, it is ideal for making long, slender parts that would otherwise vibrate and bend.
