Sliding head machining (also known as Swiss-type turning) is a high-precision manufacturing process where the raw material bar slides through a guide bushing while the cutting tools remain stationary. This configuration minimizes vibration and deflection, allowing factories to produce long, slender components with incredibly tight micron-level tolerances in a single continuous cycle.
